What is Podiatry?

Podiatry is the branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of medical and surgical conditions of the feet and lower limbs.

The number one question we are asked daily as practitioners is 'what is the difference between a Chiropodist and Podiatrist?' The two terms are inter-changeable, however, Podiatry is a more recognised term worldwide.  Chiropody skills are still the fundamental core of the profession.
